FAQ

How often should I trim my wick?

-Trim the wick before each use to ¼ inch.

How long should I burn a candle the first time I light it?

-Burn the candle long enough for the melting pool to touch the sides of the jar.

Why do you use soy wax?

-Soy wax has many benefits:

  • Soy wax is a vegetable wax made from the oil of soybeans.

  • Soy wax is clean burning.

  • Soy wax won't leave black soot on your ceilings, walls or on the jar.

  • Soy wax burns slowly, lasting about 50% longer than paraffin wax.

My candle is yellowing, why is that?

-Because we don’t use any additives in our candles they can turn yellow in direct sunlight or florescent lighting. Try moving your candle away from windows to keep them white.

How long can I leave my candle lit?

-Candle can be lit up to 4 hours at a time

My candle is “sweating” or has small liquid beads on top of the wax when not lit, why is that?

- Candles tend to sweat with temperature changes, but it won't change the quality of the wax or the burn. Those liquid beads are actually part of the fragrance oil, so when you burn your candle it will be more fragrant. Try storing in a cool, dry place when not burning.

My candle has an uneven top layer after I burn the candle?

- Soy wax tends to cool, leaving the surface layer uneven because there are no additives or fillers. Don’t worry, your candle will still burn fragrant and beautiful.

Can I reuse the jar after the candle is done?

- Of course! I highly recommend it. Wash the jar with soap and hot water.
